There are two ways for Qatar citizens to apply for a Vietnam tourist visa in 2023:
1. Apply for a visa on arrival (VOA)
To apply for a VOA, you must first complete an online application form on the Vietnam Immigration Department website. You will need to provide your passport information, travel dates, and other personal details. Once you have submitted your application, you will receive a visa approval letter via email.
When you arrive at a Vietnam international airport, present your visa approval letter, passport, and two passport-sized photos to the immigration officer. You will then be issued a visa stamp in your passport.
2. Apply for a visa at a Vietnamese embassy or consulate
To apply for a visa at a Vietnamese embassy or consulate, you must submit the following documents:
- A completed visa application form
- A valid passport with at least six months of validity remaining
- Two passport-sized photos
- A visa processing fee
The processing time for a visa at a Vietnamese embassy or consulate typically takes 3-5 working days.
Which method should you choose?
Applying for a VOA is the most convenient option, as it allows you to obtain your visa without having to visit a Vietnamese embassy or consulate. However, it is important to note that VOAs are only available at certain international airports in Vietnam.
If you are not sure if you will be arriving at a Vietnam international airport that offers VOAs, or if you need to obtain your visa in advance for any other reason, then you should apply for a visa at a Vietnamese embassy or consulate.
